FATMAGIC won the Hollywood Music in Media Award 2011 in Techno/Electronic!
After creating the band FATMAGIC in January 2009 in San Francisco, just a few months later the two European musicians, recording artists, songwriters and producers Madmax Fiddler aka Markus Fahrenberger and Radina Tara Vel aka Radina Veliova started playing big venues in the Bay Area, including well known clubs like Ruby Skye but also international film festivals and the City Hall. With the release of their first single "Higher" around Halloween 2009, FATMAGIC seemed unstoppable and quickly made their way into the professional music industry. Not only performing up to 5 shows a week after their album release in April 2010, their music was also used in several short movies, movies, animations and also the 1st album named Connecting Continents blew people's minds with a stunning new way of producing and also live performing house music with classical instruments like electric freestyle violin and electric cello, vocals and drums. Radina and Max used to work with international artists and producers from many musical fields before. Both added two and two and came up with the idea of bringing in DJ and producer friends from different musical fields to work on remixes for their latest EP named "Get Down" which made it to the Top 10 of the Austrian iTunes Charts and also went on air on many radio stations around the globe.
In 2011 FATMAGIC also released their first official music video in cooperation with LimeLife Luxury Entertainment and Gentlemen Fortune Production. Not only great looking but also outstanding sounding, those instruments were used from this time on in all FATMAGIC productions and will be part of the future sound of FATMAGIC on stage and in the studio.

Future plans? Of course! After working in the studio and recording, working on new sounds, new expressions, FATMAGIC plan to release their upcoming album in March 2012 and will be shooting another funky music video in February 2012 in Hollywood in cooperation with the Los Angeles Film School. Another Europe tour for summer 2012 will be next. FATMAGIC got invited to perform at the Winter NAMM 2012 in Anaheim. FATMAGIC is now officially powered by NS Design!
NS Design was founded in 1990 by famed instrument designer Ned Steinberger to develop electric string instruments. The primary focus is on bowed instruments - the violin, viola, cello and double bass. Ned Steinberger: "Bowed electric instruments have been made since the mid-thirties. Unfortunately, most of these instruments are the victims of the misplaced idea that an electric instrument should sound exactly like its acoustic predecessor. I want to take it a step further. I want to see what these instruments can do when they are set free."
